After a couple of months, I'm back on track! Exams have been pretty stressful, had no time to draw, really. Since I'm almost done with them, I took some time to unleash my bear love and spent some time in making this. AAAND I also have a bunch of sketches to post! (Which were all done while in class, ironically.)

Anyway, I've been going through the pages of this blog, since it's gonna be 2 years since I started it... It sort of feels like a million years. I was barely 18, and now I'll be turning 20 in January. I look at my 2009 drawings, and it feels like such a long, long way. That's good. That's really good. This year I didn't have the time to improve as much as I would've liked to, but still, it was a good one drawing-wise. I got to focus in smaller things, and work with a bit more detail, playing more attention to hair, folds, patterns, muscles ~~(LEGS)~~... Just refinement, basically. On the other hand, I've felt a bit stuck on the gesture drawing department. I haven't played much, or made much of a stretch, but well. I do feel like I've developed my style a bit more though. Like, developed some formulas. I think that it is both good and bad. It's good because I can rely on a way of doing things and stay consistent. It's bad because there are other ways of doing things and I must learn them to become better. But hey, I have plenty of time.

So anyway, my wish for 2012 is that I'll get to paint a bit, be it traditional, or be it digital. To also work a bit more on environments (stop being scared of them) and to keep exploring better ways to approach character design.

Apart from the drawing aspect, I'd love to buy a decent camera and shoot a couple of short films and I hope I get a few drawing gigs that will not interfere with my studies. So I can actually buy that camera, ya know.

An old file I had lying around, waiting to be finished, which it wasn't, but I don't care. It's nice to get it out of my chest, since it's based on a song I like very much... from an artist I love very much. Her music transports me like no other music can.

Al fiiin actualizo esta cosa! Con el estres de cierta materia en la universidad (queincluyenumeroscoffcoff) no tenia ni tiempo, ni ganas ni motivacion para dibujar. Los unicos momentos en los que me inspiraba era en algunos momentos aburridos de la clase, o cuando ya tenia ganas de irme y tenia que calmar la ansiedad de alguna manera jaja.

Esto fue durante una leccion oral:

I finally update this thing! With the stress of a certain subject in university (whichcontainsnumberscoughcough), I didn't have any time, or will or enough motivation to draw. The only times in which I got some inspiration were in boring moments of class, or when I really wanted to leave and had to calm my anxiousness in some way haha.

This was during an oral lesson:

This other thing... already at 1am, entering zombie phase, while working on an assignment.

Y esto, bueno... lo de siempre. Lo hice en clase tambien. Este tigre de abajo realmente no tiene ningun sentido o_o Debe ser que mi mente estaba mitad concentrada en la clase y mitad garabateando (bah, como siempre) y no le preste atencion a lo que estaba dibujando. Sea como sea, me gusta, por algun motivo. El elefante tampoco tiene sentido; tambien me distraje y le hice una pata mas larga que las otras. Eso es lo que pasa cuando no se hace boceto previo... o no se sabe dibujar elefantes :D

And this is, well, the usual. Did it in class too. This tiger below doesn't really make any sense o_o Maybe my mind was half-focused in class, half in the drawing (bah, as usual) and didn't pay attention to what I was doing. Never the less, I like it for some reason. The elephant also doesn't make much sense; I got distracted again and made a leg longer than the others. This is what happens when you don't make a previous sketch... or when you don't know how to draw elephants :D

And so, after 4 months of no figure drawing classes, I'm back on track baby! Unfortunately, I brought my big sketchbook to the class, and so I couldn't scan my drawings because they wouldn't fit. Instead I had to take pictures with my roommate's camera (thanks Denis!). So sorry about the quality.

Y asi, despues de 4 meses sin clases de modelo vivo, volvi a entrenar! Desafortunamente, lleve my block enorme a la clase, asi que no pude escanear mis dibujos porque no entraban en el escaner. En cambio tuve que sacar fotos con la camara de mi compañero (gracias Denis!). Asi que sorry por la calidad.

Been studying, so I haven't been as free as I'm used to. So while you wait for new stuff (?), take a look at these old sketches that were demanding a scan! Found them all while tidying up my mess of papers :D

Estuve estudiando, ergo no estoy tan libre como suelo estarlo, jojo. Asi que mientras esperan por material nuevo (?), miren estos bocetos viejos que reclamaban un scan! Los encontre mientras ordenaba mi quilombo de papeles :D

Finally, a little thing I treasured from December 2009. I had started doing gestures in September, and you can see how it payed off here. It's one of the first gestures I'm proud of. I felt like I had really captured my Religion teacher's personality :')

Finalmente, una cosita que atesore de Diciembre del 2009. Habia empezado a hacer gestures (acciones) en Septiembre, y se puede ver como dio sus frutos aca. Es uno de los primeros gestures que me enorgullecen. Senti que realmente habia capturado la personalidad de mi profe de catequesis :')

Vacation Sketches

Back from vacation, and now back to study x( But before, some sketches I made this week.
My birthday present was a set of Derwent watercolor pencils and a waterbrush! Finally :'D So here's my first test using them, using Anne Lister as a model.
The drawing in bw is a preliminar study I made. I tried the waterbrush on it... in a non-artistic way; I couldn't figure out how the hell to use it, so I filled it with ink gouache and just made stains. The result is pretty awful, ahaha! But better luck next time.

De vuelta de las vacaciones, y de vuelta al estudio tambien x( Pero antes, algunos bocetos que hice esta semana.
Mi regalo de cumpleaños fueron unos lapices acuarelables Derwent y un pincel de agua! Finalmente :'D Asi que aqui esta mi primer prueba con ellos, usando a Anne Lister como modelo. El dibujo en blanco y negro es un estudio preliminar que hice. Probe el pincel encima, de una manera muy poco artistica; no sabia como cornos usarlo, asi que lo llene con gouache de tinta china y empeze a manchar encima. Se ve horrible, ajaja! Pero me va a ir mejor la proxima.

Silly doodles! Basically my dad in bear and (headless) human form. I always thought of him as a polar bear, for various reasons.

Boludeces! Basicamente mi papa en forma oso y en forma humana (sin cabeza). Siempre pense en el como un oso polar, por varias razones.

Couple of life-drawings. I'm thrilled at how much doing this helps me when drawing from imagination... it's amazing.

I went horse riding, but obviously I couldn't draw at the moment, so I observed the horses. I focused mostly on the back legs, and back at the hotel I grabbed my sketchbook and drew right away.

Fui a cabalgar, pero por obvios motivos no pude dibujar, asi que observe los caballos. Me concentre mas que nada en las patas traseras, y vuelta en el hotel dibuje lo que recordaba en el block.

That's from a last year assignment in a storyboard workshop. We were given a script in pairs, and one had to direct and other had to draw. I drew under Freire's direction. I didn't get to direct because I wasn't able to go to the class before :c

The illustration is progressing a bit every day :D (well... not EVERY day)

This is Lucas. He's the boyfriend in a little story I dreamt (sort of) months ago. I named him Lucas because the story doesn't end too well for him; I'm a House M.D. fan, and I really loathed the Cuddy-Lucas storyline, so it was kind of a revenge from my part. Er, yeah. Moving on...

I'm starting to experiment more with watercolors. Here is a first, more or less serious attempt at reproducing the backyard haha. Would've worked on it more but I couldn't find enough motivation and moved on.

Estoy empezando a experimentar mas con acuarela. Ahi tienen un primer intento, mas o menos serio, de reproducir el patio jaja. Hubiera trabajado mas en el pero no encontre suficiente motivacion y segui con mi vida (?)

Argh, I'm working on the background of the last pic now. I'm considering doing it in traditional media to practice or something, because I'm a bit lost here. Besides, colors are easier in traditional media for me. I can choose faster and it makes me think.
Anyway, I realized that I should take the figure issue to a middleground: what made the figure look like she was going faster was the coat, and that really wasn't the intention. It's not out of convenience: I've just noticed I don't know how to draw coats "on action" XD So I'll redraw it, and fix the horse's back legs as well.

Estoy trabajando en el fondo de la ultima imagen que subi. Estoy considerando hacerlo en tradicional asi practico, o algo, porque estoy un poco perdida. Ademas, lo de los colores se me hace mas facil en tradicional. Puedo elegir mas rapido y me hace pensar.
En fin, me di cuenta que tengo que llevar el asunto de la figura a un termino medio: lo que hace que la figura se vea como que va mas rapido era la capa, y esa no era realmente la intencion. Y no es por pura conveniencia: me di cuenta que no se dibujar capas en movimiento XD Asi que la voy a redibujar, y arreglar las patas del caballo tambien.

De la figura, mas que nada, porque el fondo esta en la etapa boceto. Igual, si alguien tiene alguna sugerencia diganlo igual, porque me puede servir en el futuro :)

Clothes Week

Anyway, these last days I've been sketching like a beast. I really can't stop. Two days ago I went to the doctor and was near fainting, but I grabbed my loyal little sketchbook and just drew away.

Estos dias estuve boceteando a lo bestia. No puedo paraaar. Hace un par de dias fui al medico y estaba al punto del desmayo, pero agarre my leal cuadernito y bocetee igual nomas.

Nothing too exciting, just people waiting in line, but I made the most of it and focused on their clothing, since they were pretty still.

Nada muy emocionante, solo gente haciendo fila, pero aproveche y me concentre en la ropa, ya que estaban bastante estaticos.

Some days ago my family and I had gone to an event, with dinner and music and stuff. Guess what I did then. The same XD

A couple of lionheads from months ago... I found them today in my drive. The second one needs some work on the muzzle's perspective x)

Un par de cabezas de leon de hace unos meses... Las encontre hoy en el disco. La segunda necesita algunos ajustes de perspectiva en el hocico.

A scruffy work from a couple of months ago, in an attempt to make something decent enough with brushes. Also, a lot of playing with overlay layers and whatnot. I blame toerning (who kicks my ass so, so much, haha).

Un trabajo bastante sucio de hace un par de meses, en un intento por hacer algo suficientemente decente con pinceles. Tambien boludee un monton con capas de overlay y esas cosas. La culpa la tiene toerning (quien es demasiado buena :'D jaja)

Yesterday I picked up the brush again, after seeing some lovely comic pages done by Leonardo Pietro, and just had some fun. This lovely piece of work also influenced my decision. Victorian era is da best... and it was a great excuse to learn to draw some dresses!

Ayer agarre el pincel de nuevo, despues de ver las nuevas paginas que subio Leonardo Pietro (la impresion de la Fierro no le hace justicia ¬¬. Un poco mas de plata ahi por favor!) y me diverti un poco. Este trabajo precioso tambien me influencio en la decision. La era victoriana es la mejor *_*... y fue una buena excusa para aprender a dibujar algunos vestidos!

Days ago I grabbed my sketchbooks, a marker and a pen and headed to the zoo. It was boiling hot! Poor tiger didn't know what to do anymore to cool himself a bit. So after walking in circles for a while, he gave up and just lay there :(

Hace unos dias agarre mis cuadernos, un marcador y una lapicera y me fui al zoo. Estaba hirrrrviendo. El pobre tigre ya no sabia que hacer para enfriarse un poco. Asi que despues de dar unas vueltas, se resigno y se quedo tirado ahi :(
(Por cierto, el tigre era blanco, pero se me canto pintarlo de naranja, jaja)

I had lots of fun sketching the monkeys! (Dictionary tells me the ones below are named Hamadryas baboons or something. Correct me if I'm wrong.) A little family that stood beside me kept staring at me drawing; they missed most of the fun of watching them. It was a cute moment, though.

Victorian Girls Heavy

Days ago I watched the first half of Bram Stoker's Dracula with the director's comments... Needless to say, it didn't help with my obsession with this movie, ahaha. So after I bought some aquarelles, ink and some brushes, that's what came out. Actually, it's awfully messy, but I didn't know what to do with the remaining paint, so I just splattered it around the ink doodle.
And then I drew this:

Asi que despues de que me compre unos tubos de acuarela, un poco de tinta y unos pinceles, aquello de arriba fue lo que salio. De hecho, esta muy desprolijo, pero como no sabia que hacer con la pintura que me sobraba en la paleta, la desparrame alrededor del dibujo. Y despues dibuje esto:

Now, going to this post's subject, a couple of days ago I watched BBC'S The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister. I couldn't miss the chance of doing some life drawing of victorian era, so as I watched the movie I kept the pencil and paper with me.

Buenas, tanto tiempo! Eso de ahi arriba es una preview de un proyecto entre Hernan Carreras y yo. Es un comic a ser publicado en la revista Pelotazo... asi que más de eso no voy a mostrar. Pero Hernan hizo el guion a partir de la ratita en este post, asi que estoy muy contenta :D

Hellooo people! That image you see above is a comic panel preview for a collaboration between Hernan Carreras and I, to be published in an online (argentinian) comic magazine. He made the script inspired in this post of mine, so I'm quite happy, and proud :'D

I love the poses our model makes. We started working with clothes, and everytime she posed, she seemed to get "on character". It was great.

My teacher, Julio Azamor, in a break, in which he explained the structure of the head. I took advantage and sketched him.

The whole image-deleting-thing has been pretty stressful, so I declare a new, better start for the blog. Also, as a better start for me, because apart from taking life drawing classes, I'll start taking digital illustration in september with Julian Totino, who I'm a fan of x) So hopefully I'll improve my digital skills, because I really want and need to.

Y a pedido popular, ahora el pobre blog va a estar en spanglish XD Me siento medio boluda repitiendo lo que acabo de escribir, pero ahi va.
Resulta que al cambiar de email en la administracion del blog, las imagenes que yo tenia con esa cuenta desaparecieron. Asi que me esta resultando un poco estresante esto de volver a ponerlas de nuevo y etc, por lo tanto declaro un nuevo comienzo, no solo para el blog, sino tambien para mi. Voy a empezar a tomar clases por unos meses con Julian Totino (CAPO!) de ilustracion digital porque realmente las necesito, jojo! Y este sabado voy a otro seminario, ademas de las clases de modelo vivo.

Finalmente me esta saliendo completita, wiiiiiii!

Technical Issues

You know when you do something really stupid? Only it's worse, because you didn't know it was stupid. You actually had no idea!
Well, that was me today. I changed my email address for the blog. Little did I know that all the images would die with the former one.

Ah. Ahhh. AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Damnit! Thankfully I make backups of almost everything, so many things weren't lost. However, it's gonna take me some time to put it all again -_- The reason I made a blog was to make some kind of chronic of my progress in time, and now the images that showed that are gone. So hold on! I'll try to put a good portion of the images these next weeks x_x (baaaaw, my header is gone too!)

SO PEOPLE, if you're gonna change the email in your blogger account, EXPORT YOUR BLOG FIRST. Don't be like me. Don't read the FAQ when it's already too late.

Okay, moving on. Life drawing again. Five minute poses:

Ten minute ones! I'll admit that even though I enjoyed the class a lot, I wasn't as focused as last time. I had to redo some poses, and didn't measure much. And it shows.

And then came the half and hour one, which makes me cringe. I didn't measure this time. Bad decision; the head turned out too small. The last 10 minute pose came out looking better even, and it was practically the same pose.

So well, yeah, this week was great except at its end, which was totally shitty XD I got a cold, I didn't draw much apart from these classes and I almost kill my own blog. But I'll try to do more stuff once I get better; this I promise to myself.

Note: the colored guy above there is a sketch losely based on Pablo, one of my animation classmates. Para vos, Pablito! :)

Nakedness

I finally had my first live model class. (And this didn't happen! XD) I'm thrilled, I loved it!
Here are the first ones; they are 5 minute poses to warm up. I can't stress how much all the figure drawing from these last 10 months has helped me.

Still, there's a loooot of room for improvemente. While I was sketching I got a bit distracted with the arms and stuff instead of stablishing the pose with the legs and feet. He made a suggestion sketch a-la-Stanchfield (haha) before I finished.

After that we had a short break (for which I was very thankful; I didn't have my glasses, and my brain was suffering) and we continued with a couple of 10 minutes poses.

Tricky.

That scribbled pose up there was actually the last pose you see below here. I didn't finish it because half way the teacher said that since it was a 15' pose (maybe more; we had to shade it) I should occupy the whole drawing space (A4). Now, that was a challenge for me; I always work small (or medium, idk), so I was a little bit scared. However, we were taught to measure (something I only used to do some years ago, when I became interested in learning proportions and never did again), and I relied on that.

Interestingly, it became the drawing I liked the most from the whole session. Even if her arm is a bit big x)

Winter People

Ugh, bizarre.

I meant to update earlier, but I was busy getting ready to visit home. I was so focused on not forgetting anything that I did forget something. Two vital things, actually; my keys and my tablet cable.
So I colored these with a mouse:

Luckily I color my sketches quite easily/lazily, so it doesn't show much. And my wrist didn't suffer much.
I also bought myself a little sketchbook and drew a little rat. Everybody thought it had come printed with the book. But no. Guess people aren't used to me drawing cute little things x) It also shows that my markers are good.

To compensate, these bastards followed:

Eventually, my dad gave me a usb cable today that worked with the intuos4, thankfully, so I finally finished these practices. They're from my uncle's birthday. Yes, I sketch even on birthdays. My uncle says (half-jokingly) that I must be sick. I thought he'd understand, since he draws too, but no no. No luck, haha.

I feel a bit rusty.

From time to time I check on all my psd files and find random sketches and ideas that never got used. These are two examples.

This old man is *supposed* to resemble a tiger.

Ten action poses for my class! I didn't do anything new; I simply recycled poses from my sketchbooks, haha. I don't care; my teacher's a slacker. They should replace him.

Finally, these past days I've been on a Wonder Woman spree, ever since I thought that Lisa Edelstein could play the part really well...

Markers and doodles and animals

This week I bought myself a sketchbook, a watercolor pad (FINALLY) and most importantly, a couple of Kurecolor markers!
These are the first tests I did with them.

DOODLES, DOODLES. Moving on...

For one of my classes I have to do the bounce exercise, and I thought of a cat. So I put myself to design the victim.
Started out with drawings inspired by this picture, but they didn't convince me. I went to distract myself for some minutes, and looked at a couple of cat pictures. Came back and doodled this:

I liked it, so I made another sketch and colored it in PS.

Tadaaa! However, I'll try a version more similar to the original doodle; this cat mildy reminds me of Thomas O'Malley, and I'd rather use a more humoristic drawing... LIKE THE ORIGINAL SKETCH, haha. (On an irrelevant note, I decided this cat is a female.)

Practice practice practice! I went to watch TS3 with a friend on Monday. It was beautiful, and it made me cry. Go see it. These are the sketches I did while we were having lunch right after the movie:

Most of the people there were families with little kids; they had all gone to watch TS3 together.

Yesterday I made a decision; I wouldn't wait anymore to start learning anatomy. I'm not gonna get classes soon. So I decided to start reading the book my classmate passed me (gracias Martin!.) The first pages were about horses, and since it's a difficult bastard, I decided to give it a try.
I copied one of the horses from the book (not shown here) to understand how the man had constructed it, and analize it. (I actually wouldn't call it exactly "a copy", although it was. "Copy" sounds sort of vague.) Anyway, after that, I put on youtube videos and allowed myself to pause it on an interesting pose (after having watched and understood how the horse moved) to draw it. I tried to used the structure the guy provided, and I gotta say it worked, and I learnt.

I tried to find the gesture too, although that wasn't the main focus. Still, I'm pretty satisfied.

After I got tired from drawing horses, I thought of moving on with bears (ILOVE'EM). I read the pages about them and watched some videos, but yes, I was tired. So I didn't really focus on the anatomy, and they came out looking more like gestures. Still, they were fun and relaxing to do.

Bonus track: I did these a couple of hours ago, just for the hell of it. I think the grizzlie's lower legs are a bit too long, but I gotta check. I missed pencils and watercolors.

Beauty and the Beast SHOW

Hoy fui a ver la version de BROADFFFAY de la Bella y la Bestia en el Opera! :'DDD (vi a Francella y a Pinti, entre otros). No solo eso. Fui *FOR FREE*. Al dueño de la residencia en la q estoy le regalaron entradas y nos invito a un compañero y a mi :'D

I wish I'd taken my camera for the moment before the show begun at least.

Anyway, the show was wonderful! I teared up in the opening sequence. I just couldn't help myself... I knew that song. I've sang all the songs and acted the parts since I can remember. And know, real people were singing them, and they were living the movie. They were fulfilling my dream! It was a strong moment.
(At the same time, I couldn't believe I was crying because of that XD I never cry! But then again, everytime I play BatB bonus material on the dvd, I tear up. Why the hell would this be different.)

I had an excellent time, overall! There were more songs to enjoy (though the main ones were the original ones), and we were shown more phases from the characters. Bella was a tad more extrovert, and Bestia was definitely a little bossy kid.

Las voces eran un intermedio entre neutro y rioplatense, asi que bien! Para nada incomodo; terreno seguro, más el encanto nacional XD La voz de Bestia era suave, pero tambien podia ser realmente fuerte, y Bella por momentos parecia la Bella original del doblaje de la peli *_* Lumiere se lleva todas las flores; Huesped estaba excelente!!!

Lo unico que nos empaño un poco la velada (?) fue que a punto de cruzar Carlos Pellegrini, unos mocositos intentaron asaltar a mi amigo ._. "Ehamigo, no tiene una monedita? Eh?", y mientras lo "abrazaban" y trataban de revisarle los bolsillos. A los segundos, la cosa se puso un poco mas violenta, pero el se zafo enseguida y nos largamos a cruzar la calle, justo cuando el mocosito (que tendria unos 10 años), me miraba a mi y empezaba a decirme "y vos...?". Lo mire con desden y sorpresa. Una parejita al lado nuestro parece que estuvo a punto de sufrir lo mismo y cruzamos juntos la calle. La chica simpatizo, bastante indignada. "Que te dijo el pendejito? Si un pendejito hiciera eso yo... etc etc"
Aparentemente, cuando llegamos a la mitad, los autos de atras nos hicieron barrera y los de adelante nos dejaron cruzar, justo cuando se ponia en verde x_x Un desastre. Ni un cana!

Despues, cuando ya estabamos cerca de casa, pasamos un homeless con un nene al lado que pedia una moneda o algo. Tenia una cara... No pude evitar volver sobre mis pasos y darle un peso. Le sonrei, pero la cara de el me supero.

Creo que de hecho tenia los ojos mas grandes. O por lo menos eso parecia, de lo demacrado que estaba. Lo que mas me afecto fue el "Que Dios te bendiga". Todavia tengo la cara de el grabada. Por Dios, que alguien salve a esa gente :(

Zoo Sketches!

Lots of sketches from two weekends ago! I had a great time looking at the animals, especially the lions.

But before, sketches from my arrival to the city, and the restaurant I ate in (there were some adorable grannies having lunch. Too bad I could only capture a couple of them):

The little kid discovered I was drawing him, and became sort of unconfy, so he switched places with his mother, who looked at me in a mix of curious/worried manner for a moment x)

A little while later, this big old man (who resembled Richard Griffiths), appeared and went to say hi to the old ladies group, making himself pretty noticeable (he spoke loudly and laughed a good deal)...
I couldn't help but to make a comparison right after I drew him:

That lioness was pretty sexy. I can say the same of her husband!

I'll sound totally retarded, but at that time, the first word that came to my mind was "BAMBIIIIIIIII!!!"

There were some wolves too, but I was so tired from drawing and becoming unfocused, nothing good came out :/ Having parrots screaming non-stoppedly nearby didn't really help as well.

Today I got my Intuos4! And I gave it a name; Almond, or Almendra (any of them is valid.) So, I decided to try it out and inked and coloured a gesture I did yesterday of a classmate x) I'M LOVING THE PRESSURE SENSIBILITY. I enjoyed the inking so much... and that is new to me! Haha.
Anyway, I had color shock today. I picked the shadows from darker, more saturated colors, yet they look colder than the light source. I seriously need some color theory classes.

Mmm, I didn't think I'd be in the mood for some sketching today... but turns out I was! NatGeo and AP rock my socks. (Wow. I'm a geek.) My favorite subjects; canines and bears and a couple of felines (unfortunately.)

First ones from the Dog Whisperer and some series about this guy who feeds bears illegally. Also, ice dancing competition.

Pretty unmotivated for sketching from real life lately. I miss my sketching rages from 2 weeks ago. Instead, I've been drawing random stuff from imagination (cept for certain animated character...):

Ahaha. I think the pissed one is my favourite. It was an improvised exercise for face variation. I don't think I succeded much (the noses and eyes tend to repeat, for instance), but it was fun all the same x)

Yes, I love Dracula by F.F Coppola. The romance between those two make the characters much more dimensional (humaaaan), contrary to the book, which I didn't like much, personally. Also, Gary Oldman's accent = love x)

On a sidenote, I screwed up that foreshortening (querido escorzo, puede irse usted al carajo :'D)

I'm loving that I don't have to use photobucket to upload my images here; it's so awesome. Sketches from today and yesterday! Today I sat and back and forth between Discovery and NatGeo, so Monkeys of the Rock and random people!

Been messing with Photoshop's blending modes, so beware of the weird colors, like in the olde lady below. Monkeys are from tv, rest is from imagination (cept half tiger jumping and girl.)

In other news, I saw The Princess and the Frog on sunday. It's not their strongest movie (in terms of character/story), but it's wonderfully done, and I'm glad it broke the ice. I think the best is Naveen, but I might be biased... xD Nah, he did show more sides than Tiana, that's for sure. Maybe that's why I found it hard to believe she'd fallen in love with him, but everything's possible in a Disney movie :'D I forgive them x)

Been sketching like CRAZY; yesterday I was possesed again : o So I turned Animal Planet and VH1 on. The results are wolves, bears, and Notting Hill guys. Not that they look too much like them, but well...

And then I put the Brother Bear dvd and stole the colors for this young bear, who could be an older Koda, haha

There you go. Sketches on the story of a guy who survived the attack of a bison and wanted to move on. Blablablah. And I love the welsh guy from Notting Hill. His face is hilarious :'D

That means I got to be on the sofa for like 3 hours on a row. At least it was educational!

Tehee! So here I start. I've been feeling the need to have a little place for my own random ideas, so I created this little blog. Here I'll post my sketches, news and whatnot. I gotta get used to these tools x)
